MCIWNDM_GETSTART message

The MCIWNDM_GETSTART message retrieves the ___location of the beginning of the content of an MCI device or file. You can send this message explicitly or by using the MCIWndGetStart macro.

MCIWNDM_GETSTART

lParam = 0; 

Return Value

Returns the ___location in the current time format.

Remarks

Typically, the return value is zero; but some devices use a nonzero starting ___location. Seeking to this ___location sets the device to the start of the media.
