Today Dave Froslie was visiting Redmond from the Fargo MSFT site, and gave a talk to a VS team about Scrum, which I also attended as an observer. It was a good meeting, and I'm hopeful that this team will give Scrum a try. I invited them to our team's daily scrum meeting -- we'll see if they come!
A big challenge for everyone at MSFT (and probably most other places) in implementing Scrum seems to be fitting Scrum into existing and often heavy-handed project management processes that are anything but agile and lean. But with energy and effective persuasion it can be done.

From the consulting side, you have to wait to take advantage of a client "pain-point." When they think the heavy process works fine, you won't get anywhere. But when they say "we have so much non-value-added work", then you got 'em!
