Demand planning in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management helps you plan and forecast demand using various data sources and signals. This release enhances the app by adding the following capabilities:
- Filter data on calculation profiles.
- View and select the best model for each planning unit based on accuracy metrics.
- Add external signals, such as inflation rates or weather conditions, to your forecast calculation and see how they affect your demand.
- Use a new forecast model, XGBoost, which creates forecasts with both input and signal data.
- Use time-fence rules to block edits during specific locked or closed periods.
