What is the Library page?
The Library page is a shared area containing actions that makers in an organization can use to extend the capabilities of agents, including Microsoft 365 Copilot. Makers in your organization or Microsoft can create actions and add them to this shared area. You can use actions to retrieve data, perform actions, or automate processes. You can add items from the Library page to a custom agent or a Copilot agent. You can also use Copilot agents, equipped with actions, to extend the functionality of Microsoft 365 Copilot.
You can access the Lbrary page in Microsoft Copilot Studio by selecting Library in the left hand navigation.
When you go to the Library page, you see a list of any actions that are already added. If no actions are added yet, you can add a new action by selecting Add new. Each entry in the list of actions contains basic information about the action, including name, type, creator, status, and the agent(s) on which the action is added.
Tool details page
Select the name entry for one of the actions in the list to see a details page for the specific action. From the details page, you can:
- Pass through to an editor to update the action
- Add the action to one or more agents
- Export the action in a solution
You can choose one of the selectors above the list to filter by type of item (agent, connector, custom connector, prompt). You can also search for items by name.
Add a new action to the Library page
To create a new action and add it to the Library page:
Select Add new. You're presented with several options:
- Agent: Create a new agent conversationally.
- Prompt: Create a new prompt action using a prompt editor.
- Agent flows: Streamline your business processes and automate repetitive tasks. Preconfigured to start with an agent trigger and end with a response back to your agent.
- Prebuilt Connectors: Use prebuilt connectors to connect your agent to various services to perform actions or get data.
- Custom Connectors: Bridge external systems that lack prebuilt connectors. Integrate REST or SOAP APIs with platforms like Logic Apps, Power Automate, Power Apps, or Copilot Studio.
Select one of the options. You're presented with a type-specific wizard that guides you through the process of creating and setting up the new agent or action.
Go through the configuration steps in the wizard and save when you are done.
An entry for the new action is added to the Library page.
View a library item details
From the Library page you can view various details of library items.
This includes:
- Name
- Description
- Type
- Solutions where available
- Operations available for the item and inputs and outputs for the item
To view details for a library item, select the name entry in the list for the action you want to add to an agent. The action details page is displayed.
