The Partner Reported Azure Consumed Revenue (PRACR) initiative is an exclusive joint-sales offering for focused partners with premier Azure software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions.
Partner Reported Azure Consumed Revenue aligns Microsoft field incentives with actual end-customer Azure consumption to minimize channel conflict for SaaS solutions across business models, licensing, and HQ countries. Partners who become a Solutions Partner with certified software designation receive top level benefits such as co-sell support through Microsoft by reporting Partner Reported Azure Consumed Revenue.
What is changing
The goal of the Partner Reported Azure Consumed Revenue (PRACR) enhancements is to reduce partner overhead by minimizing the need for monthly submissions. Microsoft also made updates to Solutions Partner* with certified software** to streamline access to partner benefits and open the door to strategic resources, go-to-market support, and growth opportunities. The enhanced reporting process uses a standardized proxy, the estimated Azure consumption (EAC) percentage (EAC%), applied to the monthly contract value.
- As previously shared, attaining a certified software designation for Azure or one of the Industry AI designations on Azure is now required for net new partners to access PRACR. Partners with existing Azure IP co-sell top tier benefits can continue accessing them, including the ability to report on new and existing PRACR deals (inclusive of PRACR) until December 31, 2025.
- Standardized reporting: Simplified submissions with proxy-based workflows.
- Centralized management: Unified reporting experience through Partner Center.
- Improved predictability: Standardization might reduce errors and scale with business growth.
*You can find more information about Solutions Partner with certified software designations at Introduction to Solutions Partner with certified software designations. **Our certified software resources gallery is at aka.ms/certifiedsoftwareresources.
Partner Center Requirements
Partner Center role: Referral admin role and the co-sell admin role at the Virtual Organization (VOrg) level. For more information on assigning a referral admin role in Partner Center, see Assign roles and permissions to users.
Co-sell incentive eligibility: The partner must be qualified and approved as PRACR incentive eligible.
Partner Eligibility: As previously shared, net-new partners must be a Solutions Partner with certified software for Azure, or one of the Industry AI designations on Azure, to qualify for PRACR.
Note
Partners with existing Azure IP co-sell top tier benefits can continue accessing them, including the ability to report on new and existing PRACR deals (inclusive of PRACR) until December 31, 2025.
Partners with at least one solution with certified software designation can report all their deals in PRACR, regardless of whether other solutions are certified or not. Partners currently reporting through PRACR can continue to do so until December 31, 2025.
Submit PRACR
For issues with submitting PRACR, watch this video:
To submit a PRACR report in a Partner Center, follow these steps:
Sign in to Partner Center and select the Referrals tab found on the main dashboard.
Look for the "co-sell opportunities" menu on the left side of the screen. Select PRACR reporting from the list of options available.
Within the PRACR reporting section, there are two tabs:
- Submitted reports - Shows a list of reports you have submitted
- Eligible deals - Shows all the list of deals that are eligible for Azure Consumed Revenue (ACR) reporting in the given time period
Here, find and select the Download button.
Select the appropriate template types from the side panel.
The PRACR report is available in two formats: "Single Tenant" and "Multitenant."
- The Single-tenant template is used when only one customer can access the solution running on Azure. One referral ID should have one Azure subscription.
- The Multitenant template is used when multiple customers can access the solution running on Azure. One referral ID can have multiple Azure subscriptions.
A prepopulated .csv with the tenant types you choose is presented.
The data prepopulated is only the eligible data as per the below rules:
Eligibility criteria:
- Deployed Partner Tenant
- Approved Deal Registration
- Active deals only
Important
If you modify any preexisting data, and it doesn’t match the data in Partner Center, the upload will fail.
Information is presented about the template columns, along with examples of error messages that might occur in this table:

- Single Tenant uploads don't have Solution ID, Solution Name, Currency, EAC%, ACV, and Estimated Monthly ACR values by design.
- Correct Date format for Contract Dates is MM/DD/YYYY. These values are prepopulated and require no changes.
- For Subscription GUIDs - No need to list the same referral ID multiple times to include all subscription GUIDs used for that specific referral. Submit all GUIDs in single row separated with semi-colon.
- When entering multiple GUIDs in a single row, ensure that each GUID is separated by a semicolon with no spaces in between.
- Maximum file size allowed is: 2,000 rows; < 5MB.
- If the details exceed the max allowed limit, break the details into multiple files and upload.
After you finish reviewing the file and added data to the Partner ID and subscription GUID columns, navigate to Submitted reports tab.
Use your preferred method in the Drag or browse file to upload space to upload the report.
There are two stages to the upload experience:
- Uploading - checks basic validations of the Sanity of the file uploaded. For example, whether all the Mandatory headers are available or not, and present errors accordingly.
- The next stage is file processing, which will process each line item separately. Please note that based on the number of rows in your file, it could take several minutes to complete the processing of the file upload.
The page must remain active until the upload is complete.
When the upload successfully completes, a message appears, indicating whether the report uploaded successfully. You can find your submission on the top of the list view under the PRACR Reporting section.
Note
- If the value is NULL for any mandatory field, the error message "Missing mandatory fields" is displayed, along with the Field/fields name where the values are missing
- If the value is of a wrong format in the field, the validation fails, and the error message " Invalid fields" is displayed along with the Field/fields name where the value format is wrong
