Important
Master Data Services (MDS) is removed in SQL Server 2025 (17.x) Preview. We continue to support MDS in SQL Server 2022 (16.x) and earlier versions.
In Master Data Services, delete an entity to delete all members and attributes for the entity.
Note
The entity's members from all versions will be permanently deleted.
Prerequisites
To perform this procedure:
You must have permission to access the System Administration functional area.
You must be a model administrator. For more information, see Administrators (Master Data Services).
To delete an entity
In Master Data Manager, click System Administration.
On the Manage Model page, select a model from the grid.
Click Entities.
On the Manage Entity page, from the grid, select the row for the entity that you want to delete.
Click Delete.
In the confirmation dialog box, click OK.
