When you unbox your Windows 365 Link, you find the following hardware, monitor, peripheral, software, and wireless connectivity support.

Hardware

Your box includes:

The Windows 365 Link has the following ports:

Front panel

The bottom of the device supports Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA) 100 pattern.

Power

Power supply: Barrel type, 65 watts.

Fan: None.

Monitor support

HDMI, Display Port, and Type C can support monitors up to 4k in resolution (two 4K monitors maximum).

Touch features for monitors are not supported.

Peripheral support

USB and Bluetooth support for:

  • Mouse
  • Headphones
  • Camera
  • FIDO2 Passkeys
    • USB
    • Near field communication (NFC) (requires compatible NFC reader)

Software

The Windows 365 Link comes preinstalled with the Windows CPC operating system.

Operating system updates occur automatically during off hours. To get these updates, make sure the device is plugged in and powered on (in standby or sleep mode).

Windows 365 Link will receive driver, firmware, and operating system updates for at least six years from when it was first released (April 2nd, 2025). Closely aligned with the annual Fall release of Windows, the OS will automatically be updated to the next version, on a yearly basis.

Next steps

First time set up for your Windows 365 Link: After unboxing, your Windows 365 Link is brand-new and no users are logged into the device. The device must go through first-time setup, also known as the Out-of-Box Experience (OOBE). Through this setup process, the device is automatically joined to Microsoft Entra and enrolled in Microsoft Intune.
