IWICMetadataReaderInfo::GetPatterns method (wincodecsdk.h)

Gets the metadata patterns associated with the metadata reader.

Syntax

HRESULT GetPatterns(
  [in]      REFGUID            guidContainerFormat,
  [in]      UINT               cbSize,
  [in, out] WICMetadataPattern *pPattern,
  [in, out] UINT               *pcCount,
  [in, out] UINT               *pcbActual
);

Parameters

[in] guidContainerFormat

Type: REFGUID

The cointainer format GUID.

[in] cbSize

Type: UINT

The size, in bytes, of the pPattern buffer.

[in, out] pPattern

Type: WICMetadataPattern*

Pointer that receives the metadata patterns.

[in, out] pcCount

Type: UINT*

Pointer that receives the number of metadata patterns.

[in, out] pcbActual

Type: UINT*

Pointer that receives the size, in bytes, needed to obtain the metadata patterns.

Return value

Type: HRESULT

If this method succeeds, it returns S_OK. Otherwise, it returns an HRESULT error code.
