Net computer

Adds or deletes a computer from a ___domain database.

Net computer is a command-line tool that is built into Windows Vista. To run net computer, open a command prompt, type net computer with the appropriate parameter, and then press ENTER.

Syntax

net computer \\<ComputerName> {/add | /del}

Parameters

Description

\\<ComputerName>

Specifies the computer to add or delete from the ___domain database for the ___domain in which you are currently logged on. You can specify only one computer. You cannot specify other domains.

{/add | /del}

Adds or deletes the specified computer from the ___domain database.

net help <Command>

Displays Help for the specified net command.

Remarks

  • When you run net computer from an administrative workstation, it forwards all computer additions and deletions to a ___domain controller.

Examples

The following command adds the computer Grizzlybear to the ___domain database:

net computer \\grizzlybear /add
